The SHARP Foundation provides information and instruction on caring for individuals living with HIV and AIDS to families or friends of individuals living with HIV/AIDS, staff, volunteers, contractors, community-based service organizations, support groups, post-secondary education institutions and the general public.  This is all in an effort to reduce the stigma of the disease and the discrimination of individuals living with HIV and AIDS.

Learn more about HIV and AIDS by completing Engender Health's online minicourse or going to our Resources section.  This minicourse is designed to provide a basic introduction to this topic and to help providers of reproductive health services incorporate a focus on HIV and AIDS into their services.  Click here for more information on this minicourse.

For additional information on caring safely for individuals living with HIV and AIDS go to Canadian HIV/AIDS Information Centre, Canadian Public Health Association web site or contact our office.

An excellent resource for working with clients that are HIV positive and either Unwilling or Unable (U2) to prevent the spread of HIV was created by the Calgary Coalition on HIV and AIDS. Guidelines for Working with U2 Clients (pdf)
