Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the legal authority for the SHARP Foundation. The Board was considered a working board up to the year 2000 when an Executive Director was hired. Since then the Board has adopted a governance model. As a member of the Board, a Director acts in a position of trust for the community and is responsible for the effective governance of the organization.

Board Members are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. Board Members serve a two-year term, unless appointed on the board to fulfill an existing term. Directors may be released at the end of the elected term, by resigning or according to the SHARP Foundation By-laws.

The 2016 – 2017 Board of Directors includes:

  • Philippe Boilard, Board President
  • Joshua Sadovnick, Vice President
  • Christina Lamb, Treasurer
  • Mikaela McQuade, Secretary

  • Troy Gibson
  • Bonnie Hooper
  • David Huynh
  • Nicole Williams
  • Kory Zwack

We could not do the work we do without the time, dedication and support of our many volunteers.

Please contact the SHARP Foundation office at or call 403.272.2912 if you are interested in becoming a SHARP Board Director, committee member or complete ourĀ Volunteer Application
